SHAGG NASTY sports a non-linear plot line that meanders through Shagg’s life as delicious as a pastrami sandwich on rye—spicy, saucy and every bite an adventure for the tongue. Always searching for something, Shagg endeavors to be a thing finder, a people collector and tongue waggler. Vulgar and a bit nasty, Shagg is never mean. That’s why his friends tolerate him and love him just the same. Dweeb, a bit younger than Shagg counters Shagg’s points while Elle just tries to keep her head above water and Vera the vamp doesn’t really care one way or the other.

American Judy Maslyn, a Doctor of Immunology in her mid-40’s has just finished her part in a collaborative project at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin. Judy is a single mother of a 12 year old son named Jules who has been living with her in Berlin for the past two years. Now, they both are happily preparing to return to the States but the universe has different ideas.
The film SOMEWHERE NEAR THE END OF TIME takes place over four days in the lives of this family. Judy lives in an apartment in the middle of Berlin and when something unexplained in the heavens begins to happen, she has to rely on herself and her neighbors for support.
She reexamines everything she has ever done and hopes for the best and prepares for the worse.

SEARCHING FOR ETERNITY IN THE WILDERNESS

In TAIGA, characters search for eternity in the wilderness and only find themselves. Through an apparent linear framework of action, Joneleit will abruptly break the content cinematically between contrasting parts. The framework for the action is the eye of the camera. The spectators are at once voyeur, and sometimes even an unwanted participant. The lack of continuity will create a reality of experience...opening unexpected perceptual spaces. The deeper you enter the TAIGA, the stronger the pull and eventually the viewer’s role as a „silent“ observer is no longer safe.

Today, somewhere in rural Germany, a man in his mid-50’s named Wolf believes he is in the middle of an existenial crisis—he thinks his world, the one we all live in, is a dream dreamt by someone else. His superior, Fox tries to help him but finally has to bring in the big gun Nightingale to help change Wolf’s perspective. Intermingled with the primary story is another story about a box—one that cannot be opened and even it it were, it would be too dangerous for all of us.

NIXIUM, an example of conditional coincidences, a yellow plastic sack appears to be the main character as it moves along in space and time to its final destination. A Russian mobster brings a small box to be stored in a safe of an air freight service company. He tells the service agent that the box contains Nixium.
In the meantime, a high heeled fashion queen and a boy on a bike get mixed up with the yellow sack and then of course the police and the radio station. Finally the yellow sack and the Nixium all end up in different places where they belong and in the end it really is about the music in the transitions anyway.
